Orange Releases Terror Amp in Stompbox Format Leave a comment

Orange Amplification has introduced a portable class A/B 20-watt amp, the Terror Stamp.

The Terror Stamp is the latest addition to Orange Amp’s portable Terror amplifier series. This pocket-sized powerhouse crams all the punch of the Micro Dark and Micro Terror into a compact pedal format. Orange Amps promises loads of “Terror tone at the stamp of your foot.”

The Terror Stamp is a hybrid amp with a 12AX7/ECC83-based preamp that gives the feel and warmth of tube amplification. Additionally, a Class AB solid-state power amp keeps things compact. It prevents the pedal from consuming significant pedalboard real estate.

Sporting a pedalboard-friendly, space-saving design, the Terror Stamp floor amp comes loaded with features. These include a fully-buffered FX Loop, 8/16Ohm Speaker Output, CabSim/Headphone Output, foot-switchable Master Volume, and Shape Control.

The Terror Stamp comes in a diminutive, sturdy chassis measuring only 6.1 x 13.4 x 9.9cm (2.4 x 5.4 x 3.9in). Nonetheless, this tiny amp boasts a massive sound and a small stage footprint that fits nicely in a coat pocket.

“With the Terror Stamp, Orange continue to prove that the biggest sounds can come from the tiniest packages. Typical Orange simplicity, with that unmistakable Orange British tone,” the press release reads.

The Orange Terror Stamp retails for $199.
