Chorus pedals have one simple purpose: make you sound like you have a whole army of guitars playing the exact same part you’re playing. Chorus pedals do this by splitting your guitar’s signal into multiple separate voices, modulating their pitch and timbre, and then throwing in a tiny bit of delay to further separate them from the main signal. Play around with the tone knobs and you can crank out a glorious wall of sound or even an out-of-this-world sci-fi sonic assault.
