Anasounds The Sandman Dual Overdrive is a two-channel overdrive pedal that combines two of the most familiar overdrive voicings in one box: a Klon-style circuit on one side and a Screamer-style circuit on the other. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson called it "a fantastic combination of Klon and Screamer - both incredibly strong voicings"1. It is made by Anasounds, whose earlier pedals include the Savage and the Ego Driver, the two circuits the Sandman draws on.
What it does
Each half of the pedal has its own controls and its own footswitch, so the two overdrives can be set independently and used separately or stacked1.

The SAVAGE side's clipping switch selects between germanium and silicon diode voicings, while the EGO DRIVER side's Mode switch shifts its midrange character between hi mids and lo mids1. What reviewers said
Guitar Pedal X has returned to the pedal more than once. In a September 2025 review, Stefan Karlsson wrote: "This one's definitely top tier and it's had a decent innings on the board - well over a year if I recall!"1. A year earlier, in August 2024, he had already described it as a board fixture: "I also still have the Anasounds Sandman Dual Overdrive on the board - which has an excellent Klon voicing"2.
On the format, Karlsson noted: "I prefer the vertical format of 1590-BB too - so this is the near perfect format of dual-overdrive for me"1.
