What it does
The Bearded Lady produces vintage fuzz tones, and its approach to control is unusual for a fuzz: rather than a single fuzz knob, it uses two rotary controls labeled hi and lo, which set the character of the fuzz in the upper and lower parts of the sound. Delicious Audio's description of the design says this arrangement keeps the bottom end while maintaining transient highs, which is the usual casualty when a bass signal is pushed through a fuzz circuit1.
For a player, that means the pedal is set up to add fuzz on top of a bass line while leaving the fundamental weight of the instrument in place, with the two rotary controls acting as the main shaping tool1.
The Dr. Green range
The range also included the Dr Green TuneUp tuner, which displays the standard chromatic set of notes from A through G#2.
