Big Crunch Overdrive

The Big Crunch Overdrive is a compact guitar pedal from the maker Big Crunch. It sits in the overdrive and distortion space, the part of a board that pushes an amp or shapes grit from light breakup to heavier crunch. For players comparing it with other overdrive pedals or distortion pedals, the published record on it is thin: it was covered in a single video review by Pedal of the Day in January 2015.¹

What the review said

Pedal of the Day ran the Big Crunch Overdrive as a video review, submitted by a viewer named Kyle, and posted it on January 18, 2015. The site introduced it plainly¹:

Players researching the pedal may want to watch the original video review directly, which is where the site's coverage lives.¹

Where it fits

As an overdrive and distortion pedal, the Big Crunch Overdrive belongs to the broad family of gain pedals, alongside fuzz pedals and boost pedals. What separates those types is covered on their own pages; the Big Crunch Overdrive itself is documented only by the 2015 review noted above.¹
