The BSRI x MAE | MAYBE THE REAL TREASURE... is a fuzz pedal made as a collaboration between BSRI Audio and Mask Audio Electronics. Mask Audio Electronics describes it as "a fuzz pedal for people who want ever more and louder," and as a love letter to all the fuzzes that came before it.¹

What it does

The pedal was designed jointly by Alec Breslow of Mask Audio Electronics and BSRI. Mask Audio Electronics describes the collaboration as combining "Equal parts Alec's penchant for chaos and abrasive textures and my interest in putting more knobs and more flexibility."¹

Controls

The pedal's controls work together rather than in isolation:

• Volume: turning down gives less volume and turning up gives more, but the maker notes there are uneven areas in the middle where the volume is a lot.¹
• Splode and Push: these two controls are interactive, and the maker says players should spend time hearing how different settings between the two respond to each other.¹
