The Donner Yellow Fall Mini Delay is a compact delay pedal sold as an affordable "analog" delay, listed at $40 USD, though it runs on a PT2399 variant despite its "analog" classification1. Donner's own listing describes it as the Yellow Fall Mini Analog Delay at $401. Guitar Pedal X reported that "It looks like the original Yellow Fall Mini is now discontinued"1.
What it does
The Yellow Fall is a simple echo pedal with three controls1:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Echo | Sets the overall level of the repeats |
| Feedback | Sets how many repeats you hear |
| Time | Sets the delay length |
There is no Pre Delay control: it is a set-and-forget mini pedal built to sit on a small board4.
The "analog" in its name deserves a note. Stefan Karlsson of Guitar Pedal X points out that, by the most common classifications, this is not really an analog pedal at all, but a PT2399 variant, the widely used budget delay chip1. Players shopping for a true analog bucket-brigade delay should know that distinction; players who just want a usable echo at a low price generally will not hear the difference the label implies.
The original Yellow Fall Mini Delay appears discontinued as of January 20251. Used units and remaining stock are the only routes to the exact original circuit.
Reception
The pedal built its reputation on value. Karlsson writes that it "was praised as affordable, sounded great, and was used by Jack White"1.
"was praised as affordable, sounded great, and was used by Jack White"
Jack White's connection to the Yellow Fall ran further than a passing mention: when his Third Man Hardware collaborated with Donner on the Triple Threat multi-effects pedal, its echo section was described as "a vintage-style echo based on Donner's first-ever pedal, the Yellow Fall Delay"5, and Guitar World likewise called the Yellow Fall "Donner's first-ever pedal"6.
What replaced it
With the original discontinued, Donner's Versa Yellow Fall 2 is its partial heir1. It is a DSP delay and reverb pedal rather than a delay-only design, with a delay section carrying Level, Tone, Time and Repeats knobs and a Delay Mode switch offering Echo, Digital and Vintage modes1.
Donner's current lineup also includes other delay options such as the Echo Square, the Revecho and the White Tape Stereo Delay Pedal, and the Yellow Fall name itself continues on the Yellow Fall II, a delay and reverb pedal with dual-footswitch control for toggling the two effects separately4.

Questions
Is the Donner Yellow Fall Mini Delay analog?
It was sold as an analog delay, but Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson notes that by the most common classifications it is not really an analog pedal at all, instead running on a PT2399 chip variant. That chip is a common budget delay circuit, and the analog label on the original marketing does not match how most players classify the circuit.
Is the Yellow Fall Mini Delay still available?
Guitar Pedal X reported in January 2025 that the original Yellow Fall Mini looks to be discontinued. Donner has since introduced the Versa Yellow Fall 2, a DSP delay and reverb pedal that Karlsson describes as its partial heir, carrying the Yellow Fall name forward with a different circuit and added reverb.
