Dophix is an Italian pedal maker whose fuzz pedals are built around a two-stage idea: rather than one fuzz circuit with a single output level, the pedals carry a fuzz stage and a second, heavier stage that Premier Guitar described as a "more fuzz" stage, each with its own level control. The design sits alongside the maker's other fuzzes, including the Dophix Nettuno and the Dophix Medici More Fuzz, and belongs to the wider family of fuzz pedals.1
What it does
The pedal's core layout is a fuzz and a "more fuzz" stage, with a master control and a "more level" control, plus a mixer that you can activate independently. In practice that means the player can run the two stages together or bring the second stage in and out on its own, setting how much of each stage ends up in the output through the mixer. Premier Guitar, writing in June 2025, summed it up as "This modern fuzz stomp has fuzz and 'more fuzz' stages."1
The two-stage arrangement differs from a conventional single-knob fuzz in that the amount of fuzz and the overall level are handled separately: the master sets the pedal's output, while the "more level" control governs the second stage. That gives a player two distinct voices on one box rather than one, and the independent mixer switching means the heavier stage can be used on its own as a boost into the first.1
What reviewers said
Premier Guitar's 2025 piece on fuzz flavors put the pedal in the modern fuzz camp and highlighted the stage-and-mixer architecture, listing the $420 street price.1
