Finegear Arkive_Effects

Multi-effects

The Arkive_Effects is a stand-alone effects box from Finegear. Instead of a row of separate pedals, it gathers seven FX modules in one box, among them a spring reverb, a delay, a phaser and saturation, with its audio connections on 1/4" jacks1. As of the announcement there was no release date and no price1.

What it does

Finegear describes the Arkive_Effects as "a collection of analog effects designed to spark your creativity", and says the box is "designed for sonic experimentation"1. The seven modules cover ground players usually spread across several pedals: a spring reverb, a delay, a phaser and saturation, among others1.

The saturation side is handled by two independent tape saturation modules, which Finegear says can add warmth or heavier distortion1. The analog delay module has a momentary switch to create infinite feedback loops on the fly, a feature delay players usually associate with experimental delay pedals1.

Modulation and CV

The modular twist is the pair of LFOs. Their speed can be modulated via CV inputs, and they produce sine, triangle and square waveforms. Each LFO has two normal outputs and one inverted output, and they can modulate the internal effects or external gear1.

The phaser shows how this works in practice: it has controls for feedback and depth, plus a CV input, and it can use either of the internal LFOs as a modulation source or be controlled manually1.

Connections and availability

The audio connections are on 1/4" jacks1. At the Superbooth 2019 announcement there was no release date and no price1.

The Arkive_Effects was shown at Superbooth 2019 as an upcoming product. No release date or price was given at that time1.
