The Fortin Mod Mini Tube Screamer is a mini overdrive pedal built on the compact Ibanez TS-MINI chassis and modified with Mike Fortin's TS9 mod, the same circuit treatment behind Fortin's full-size modded Tube Screamers. Godlyke, the distributor, describes it as a Fortin-modified high-gain overdrive that "packs the output, aggression, and enhanced note articulation" of the mod in a small footprint1. Fortin Amps positions it squarely at metal players: "Designed for metal guitarists who demand precision from high-gain rigs"2.
What it does to your sound
Godlyke says "the Mini-TS Mod delivers a powerful output boost, enhanced upper mids, and a more organic clipping response"1. The pedal's headline feature, in Godlyke's words, is a "Massive output level to push high-gain amps into tighter, more aggressive territory"1, which is the classic role of a Tube Screamer in a metal rig: run it into an already-dirty amp to tighten the low end and sharpen the pick attack.
Fortin frames it as a two-way tool: "Use it as a clean boost to drive your amp harder or dial in classic overdrive with the attack and articulation needed" for dense, heavy mixes2.
The changes the Fortin mod brings, as the two companies describe them:
| What the mod does | How it is described |
|---|---|
| Output | "Massive output level to push high-gain amps into tighter, more aggressive territory"1 |
| Midrange | "Enhanced upper mids"1 |
| Clipping | Red LED clipping stage, "a more natural, tube-like response"1 |
| Articulation | "Enhanced note articulation" in a small footprint1 |
The red LED clipping approach also appears on the full-size Fortin-Modded Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, where Godlyke says the circuit is "voiced with an enhanced upper midrange, accentuating higher-order harmonics for more articulate pick attack"3.
"The legendary Fortin TS9 mod is back in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format."
Where it came from
The pedal is the work of Mike Fortin of Fortin Amps, whose overdrive modification of the Ibanez TS-9 has been applied to a series of pedals. The lineage runs from the Fortin-Modded Maxon OD-9 Overdrive through the Fortin-Modded Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer and the TS-9 mod21, and Fortin describes the Mini as that circuit's return in compact form2. The same red LED clipping used here is also listed by Maxon for the Fortin-modded TS-9, where the maker says it brings "more organic, amp-like tone"4. Fortin has since expanded the family with the dual-channel Fortin FOURTEEN.
The family, as covered on this site:
- Fortin-Modded Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer, the full-size TS808 with the Fortin mod5
- Fortin-Modded Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, with the same enhanced upper midrange voicing and red LED clipping3
- Fortin-Modded Maxon OD-9 Overdrive, the mod applied to Maxon's OD-93
- Fortin FOURTEEN, a later dual-channel design3
Availability
Godlyke listed the pedal as sold out as of 26 October 2026, and describes availability as limited: "Due to the limited availability of these pedals, a 20% restocking fee will be charged on all canceled orders"1.

Questions
Is the Fortin Mod Mini Tube Screamer true bypass?
Yes. Godlyke's product page lists the pedal with True Bypass Switching, so the signal passes through untouched when the effect is off. That matters on a pedalboard where the pedal may sit in front of a high-gain amp and only be engaged for solos or tightening boosts.
What clipping does the Fortin Mod Mini Tube Screamer use?
The pedal uses a red LED clipping stage. Godlyke describes it as giving a more natural, tube-like response, and the same red LED clipping is a signature of Fortin's earlier modded Tube Screamers, including the Fortin-Modded Ibanez TS-9.
Is the Fortin Mod Mini Tube Screamer a limited edition?
Godlyke describes availability as limited and warns that a 20% restocking fee is charged on all canceled orders because of it. The pedal was listed as sold out on Godlyke's page as of 26 October 2026.
How is the Fortin Mod Mini different from a stock Ibanez TS Mini?
It starts as an Ibanez TS-MINI and is modified with Mike Fortin's acclaimed TS9 mod. Godlyke says the result delivers a powerful output boost, enhanced upper mids and a more organic clipping response, with massive output level to push high-gain amps into tighter, more aggressive territory.
