The Haggtronix Harvester is an analog pedal covering fuzz, distortion and boost duties in one box. Haggtronix describes it as "the Haggtronix HG-2 reimagined," and the underlying circuit is based on what the maker calls "the cult classic chainsaw distortion." It sits in the fuzz and distortion territory, with enough gain range to work as a booster as well1.
What it does
Compared with the HG-2 it is based on, the Harvester adds a set of features Haggtronix lists as standard on this version1:
The clean blend with phase switching is the kind of control bass players and players running low-tuned or extended-range guitars often look for in a fuzz, since it lets the dry signal sit under the distorted one. The clipping and headroom options change how the circuit breaks up, from softer compression into harder clipping1.
Build and power
The Harvester is housed in a UV printed transparent red powder coated 1590J enclosure, with artwork by The Split Hoof. It runs on 9V DC, center negative1.
The Harvester is a variant of the earlier Haggtronix HG-2, so specifications and features differ between the two versions1.
