The Reverse Delay is a delay stompbox made by HeadRush. A reverse delay records what you play and then repeats it backwards, so notes swell in behind your playing rather than trailing away after it. HeadRush describes the pedal as based on the Boss DD-5, the Boss delay that popularized the reverse effect1.
Where it appears
HeadRush offers the effect in two forms. The standalone Reverse Delay is part of the company's stompbox range1. The same effect also exists as the REVERSE DELAY model on the HeadRush Pedalboard, and HeadRush likewise lists that model as based on the Boss DD-52. A player with a HeadRush Pedalboard therefore has this effect built in, while a player building a board of single pedals can get it as its own unit.
Related HeadRush delays
HeadRush also makes the HeadRush M104 Analog Delay, a different approach to delay that repeats notes forwards with the character of an analog circuit rather than reversing them1.
