HeadRush Slab Of Meat

The Slab Of Meat is a bass distortion stompbox from HeadRush. The maker describes it in one line: "Punishing bass distortion."¹ It belongs to the distortion family, sitting alongside other bass-oriented dirt pedals such as the HeadRush Grinder Bass OD, an overdrive for bass from the same maker.¹

For a player, that places it in the distortion corner of the bass pedals world: a heavier, more aggressive kind of gain than overdrive or fuzz, aimed at bass rather than guitar.¹

What it does

HeadRush's own product page gives the effect type and its character: a bass distortion, described as punishing.¹
