The Radical Fuzz Phaser is a dual-effect guitar pedal from Kink Pedals, a Melbourne builder whose pedals are hand-made in Australia. It combines a classic fuzz circuit with an analog phaser in one box, announced in May 2025.1
According to Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio, the pedal "allows for both smooth overdrive and full-blown distortion, as well as swirling, hypnotic modulation with the phaser." That range means the fuzz side can be backed off for a mild drive sound or pushed into heavy distortion, while the phaser adds movement on top.1
Controls and modes
The pedal offers a switch to toggle between phaser and "vibe" modes, giving two flavors of modulation from the analog section.1
A second switch selects the order of the effects, so you can run the fuzz before or after the phaser. Order matters in practice: fuzz feeding a phaser sweeps the filter over a distorted waveform, while phaser feeding a fuzz distorts the already-modulated signal, and the two arrangements sound different.1
Where it sits on a board
As a fuzz-plus-modulation combination, it covers ground normally split between a dedicated fuzz and a phaser pedal. Players who already run separate fuzz pedals and phasers can use the effect-order switch to compare how this circuit chains them internally.1
