The Line 6 FBV2 is a foot pedal switch made by Line 6. It is a simple floor controller rather than an effects pedal: it does not process your guitar signal, it lets you change your amp's settings from where you are standing1.
What it does
The FBV2 enables you to switch through the four channels on a Line 6 amp without having to touch the amp itself1. That means you can move between clean and driven sounds mid-song from the floor, instead of walking over and pressing the buttons on the amp's front panel.
In a Skunkwerx review video, the presenter found the switching to be effectively instant, and faster than pressing the amp's own buttons:
"it seems to me like it's sort of instantaneous. Like, it switches over quicker than if you was to press the buttons on t"
He also noted that reports of a switching delay on the FBV2 are wrong1.
