The LPD Pedals Supernode is a dual overdrive / distortion pedal that puts two distinct drive circuits in a single enclosure: an ODR-1-style overdrive on the right and LPD's Seventy4 Super Lead Plexi take on the left. Guitar Pedal X covered the pedal on 29 October 2025, reporting it available direct from the LPD Pedals Webstore for $299.991.

Two circuits in one box

The Supernode's two sides come from different lineages. The right channel is Lawrence Petross's take on the four-knob Nobels ODR-1 circuit, a natural-sounding overdrive that has been used by players including Tim Pierce, who has said of it, "The pedal I probably use most is the ODR-1, a very natural sounding overdrive"2. The left channel is the 74 DS, LPD's Super Lead Plexi voicing, the same circuit family as the company's Seventy4 and Seventy4 Deluxe pedals1.

Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson called the pairing a rare and relatively unusual combination of circuits, and noted that, at least officially speaking, this appears to be LPD's first take on the ODR-1 circuit1.

"So on the Right Channel you have Lawrence's take of the 4-knob ODR-1 circuit, and on the Left Channel you have his LPD S..."
Guitar Pedal X, Stefan Karlsson1

The controls on each side

Each channel carries its own knob set and its own footswitch, so either side can be engaged or bypassed on its own1.

74 DS (left)Level, Drive, Treble, Bass74 DS

The ODR-1 side is the four-knob version of the ODR-1 circuit, the variant that adds the Bass-Cut control to the familiar Level, Drive and Spectrum layout. Guitar Pedal X explains that the Bass-Cut control tempers the bass-half of the Spectrum Tone Stack, which gives players a way to trim low-end without reshaping the whole voicing1.

Running the channels together

An Order switch offers RL (Right to Left), LR, or Parallel operation. In the two series positions you choose which circuit hits first; in Parallel, both run side by side. Karlsson describes this as allowing you to arrange both channels each way in Series, as well as in Parallel, for maximum variability1.

That routing is a point of difference within LPD's own two-channel line. The Seventy4 Deluxe, released in August 2022 at $299.99, has two channels, Red and Green, which cannot be stacked but are switched through the Channel footswitch34. GuitarPlayer's coverage likewise noted that its two footswitches handle engaging and bypassing the pedal and switching between the Red and Green channels4. The Supernode, by contrast, is built around combining its two circuits rather than alternating between them.

Questions

What does the Bass-Cut knob do on the Supernode?

The ODR-1 side of the Supernode is the four-knob version of the ODR-1 circuit, which adds a Bass-Cut control alongside Level, Drive and Spectrum. According to Guitar Pedal X, the Bass-Cut control tempers the bass-half of the Spectrum Tone Stack, letting you dial back low-end buildup while keeping the character of the overdrive intact.

Can the Supernode run both channels at once?

Yes. The Supernode has an Order switch that offers RL (Right to Left), LR, or Parallel operation, so both the ODR-1-style channel and the 74 DS channel can be engaged together. Guitar Pedal X notes this allows you to arrange both channels each way in Series, as well as in Parallel, for maximum variability.

What does the Order switch do?

The Order switch sets how the two circuits connect when both are on. It offers RL (Right to Left), LR, or Parallel operation. In the series positions you choose which circuit comes first in the signal chain; in Parallel, both run side by side. Guitar Pedal X describes this as allowing both channels to be arranged each way in Series, as well as in Parallel.

How much does the LPD Pedals Supernode cost?

Guitar Pedal X reported on 29 October 2025 that the Supernode was available direct from the LPD Pedals Webstore for $299.99.

Does the Supernode have two footswitches?

Yes. Guitar Pedal X describes the Supernode as having separate ODR-1 and 74 DS footswitches, one for each circuit, so you can engage or bypass either side independently.
