The Marshall Jackhammer is a distortion pedal made by Marshall, the British amplifier company. It belongs to the family of Marshall effects pedals that the company has released alongside its amps over the years1.
What it does
The Jackhammer is a distortion pedal, placing it in the same category as Marshall's other dirt pedals such as the Marshall The Guv'nor and the Marshall ShredMaster. In a JHS Pedals history article on Marshall's greatest pedals, the Jackhammer is described as the replacement for an earlier Marshall distortion pedal, and the article notes that it "is still in production today"1.
"replaced by the Jackhammer (which is still in production today)"
That makes the Jackhammer one of the longer-running entries in Marshall's pedal range, outlasting several of the company's earlier distortion and overdrive pedals that have since been discontinued or reissued, such as the Marshall Drivemaster Vintage Reissue Pedal and the Marshall ShredMaster Vintage Reissue1.
