The Maza FX Kidrock Distortion is an analog distortion pedal from the Argentine maker Maza FX. according to RockBoard's PedalPedia's product page, it is "a flattering distortion emulating the marhsall jcm800 in their maximum splendor," and RockBoard's PedalPedia describes its sound as "An organic and versatile distortion, with a lot of profit, excellent tonal range."1

Its most distinctive feature is that it is a "single pedal with built-in Kill switch," so the same enclosure that produces the distortion can also mute the signal outright, a function players usually need a separate switching pedal for.1

Power

The Kidrock Distortion runs on a 9V DC supply with center negative polarity and draws 15 mA, so it sits comfortably within what a standard pedalboard power supply provides.1 A Spanish-language manual is available from the maker as a PDF.1

Maza FX builds other distortion and drive pedals in the same family, including the Maza FX Kirk Distortion and the Maza FX Rebel Atomic Dist ORIGIN, as well as the Maza FX XPLEX V2.
