The Missing Link Audio Peace Fuzzz is an analog fuzz pedal described by its maker as "A Fuzz for Players Who Don't Do Fuzz". It uses germanium diodes for clipping and offers two voices, and RockBoard's PedalPedia says it "blends the warm saturation and rich sustain of vintage fuzz with the clarity, punch, and dynamics of a great drive pedal"1.
What it does
The Peace Fuzzz is aimed at a particular kind of player. RockBoard's PedalPedia says "The PEACE FUZZZ was built for guitarists who love the feel of a good overdrive but want to explore fuzz", without diving into the quirks that put some players off fuzz pedals1. In practice that means the pedal behaves more like a fuzz voiced with the touch response of a good overdrive: saturation and sustain on the fuzz side, with clarity, punch and dynamics carried over from the drive-pedal side of its character1.
The circuit is analog throughout, with germanium diodes doing the clipping and two selectable voices shaping the fuzz character1. It runs on a 9V DC, center negative supply1.
Missing Link Audio also makes other gain pedals, including the Missing Link Audio Zepptone.
