The Red Witch Xyolia Choral Phase is a pedal that puts an all analog chorus and an all analog phaser in the same box, built to run as one combined effect. Red Witch describes it as the first pedal to combine chorus and phasing this way, and says it runs "from the subtlest shimmering to the wildest cosmological swirling."1
What it does
The Xyolia gives you chorus and phasing together, with separate Depth and Mix controls for each side, so you can dial in one alone or blend the two. A synced LFO with velocity control works on the sweep, tying the movement of the two effects together.1
On the phase side, the Depth control does more than set intensity. Red Witch explains that it "determines where the pulse is happening," which decides whether you get what they call a throbby phase or a shimmery phase.1
Build and availability
Each Xyolia is made by hand by the Red Witch designer, using through hole components, premium sockets, an ultralong life true bypass footswitch and hand wiring. It belongs to the Nouveau series limited editions, which Red Witch notes always sell out.1
Only 59 Xyolia pedals will ever be produced, and the pedal is listed as Sold Out.1
Where it sits in the Red Witch range
Red Witch has built several chorus-centered pedals over the years, including the Medusa Chorus Tremolo, the Chorus Em, the Binary Star and the Empress Deus Chorus. The Xyolia is the line's take on pairing a chorus with a phaser in one enclosure, and its limited, hand-built production sets it apart from the rest of the range. Questions
Is the Red Witch Xyolia all analog?
Yes. Red Witch describes the Xyolia Choral Phase as incorporating both all analog Chorus and all analog Phase in one pedal. There is no digital conversion in the signal path, which matters to players who build their boards around analog modulation effects.
Is the Xyolia true bypass?
Yes. The pedal uses what Red Witch calls an ultralong life true bypass footswitch, so when the effect is off your guitar signal passes straight through without any buffering.
How many Red Witch Xyolia pedals were made?
Red Witch states there will only ever be 59 Xyolia pedals produced. Each one is made by hand by the designer, using through hole components, premium sockets and hand wiring, and the pedal is part of the Nouveau series limited editions.
How much did the Xyolia cost?
The Xyolia Choral Phase listed at 599 USD on Red Witch's product page as of October 2026. The pedal is now sold out.
Can the chorus and phase run at the same time?
Yes. The Xyolia combines chorus and phasing as one effect, with independent Depth and Mix controls for both the Chorus and the Phase, so you can run them together or shape each side separately. A synced LFO with velocity control works on the sweep.
