The SiB Electronics Mr. Fazeadelic is a 4-stage optical phase shifter, a type of phaser that uses optical modules rather than standard FETs to sweep the phase-shifting stages. Pedal of the Day described it as a dual-channel phaser "that will send your sound back to the psychedelic era," and noted that the effects pedals coming out of the SiB Electronics camp are all fairly unique in design and sound1.
What it does
The Mr. Fazeadelic's defining feature is its two channels. It boasts two separate channels for varying phase speeds, and the left footswitch lets you seamlessly select between the Rate1 and Rate2 controls while playing. That gives a player two phasing speeds available at a stomp, one for a slow sweep and one for a faster one, without turning a knob mid-song1.
As an optical phaser, it sits alongside other phaser designs that use light-dependent components for the sweeping stages; the effect type itself is covered in more detail on the Phaser Pedals page1.
What reviewers said
Pedal of the Day's 2017 review was positive on the sound. The reviewer wrote1:
"The phaser effects produced here are warm and lush as well, with sonic ebbs and flows pulsating and throbbing"1

The same review praised the build, describing the pedal as hand built in the USA and housed in an abuse-resistant steel case1.
