The SHOD-A and SHOD-B Precious Invincible Overdrive Set is a pair of overdrive pedals from Sinvertek, sold together as one set. Writing in Guitar Pedal X, Stefan Karlsson described the pairing as "where one half was super clean and low gain, and the other had a little more poke to it"1. In practice, that means one pedal covers clean and low-gain boost duties while the other pushes a touch harder, letting a player split their gain staging across two overdrive pedals designed to work as a unit.
What it does
The set splits its work between the two pedals. The SHOD-A sits at the clean, low-gain end, useful as a transparent push or a foundation for a board, while the SHOD-B adds "a little more poke", the kind of extra bite a player might reach for to push an amp or stack into the first pedal1. Because both were sold as a set, the pairing was intended from the start to be used together rather than chosen separately.
Release and price
Sinvertek launched the Precious Invincible set in October 2024. The pricing structure was unusual among overdrives: the two pedals were priced at $1000 for the set, and buyers had to purchase both, with no option to buy one on its own1.
"I thought we had reached peak prowess in October of 2024 when Sinvertek launched their SHOD-A and SHOD-B Precious Invincible Overdrive Set, where you had to buy both - for the princely sum of $1000."
Where it sits in the SHOD series
The Precious Invincible set is part of Sinvertek's SHOD series of overdrives. Guitar Pedal X notes that Sinvertek launched the SHOD-A and SHOD-B Precious Invincible set in October 2024, sold as a two-pedal pairing where both pedals had to be bought together for $10001. The set therefore represents a two-pedal stage of the same series.
