Taurus Pedals Jeffro Boost

The Jeffro Boost is a boost pedal from Taurus Pedals. It was covered in a video review on Pedal of the Day, published on December 2, 2014, in the site's Boost category¹.

What it does

The Jeffro Boost is a boost pedal: a pedal whose job is to raise the level of the signal coming from the guitar, whether to push an amp or another pedal harder, to lift a solo above a mix, or to drive a long cable run without tone loss. Pedal of the Day introduced it as "The Jeffro Boost from Taurus Pedals" in a video review format, submitted by Kyle, who runs the YouTube channel the review came from¹.

Where it sits

Boosts sit alongside related gain-staging effects such as overdrive pedals, distortion pedals and preamp pedals, each of which shapes level and gain in its own way.
