The original Corona Chorus is a chorus pedal from TC Electronics, built in the company's original black enclosure, what the press called "the original black TC effect"1. It holds a notable place in the company's history: it was one of TC Electronics' first ever products, and it stayed in production for nearly forty years before being discontinued1. For more on the effect itself, see chorus.
Discontinuation
The original Corona Chorus is no longer in production. According to gearnews.com, "The original pedals were only recently discontinued due to lack of component availability"1.
The original Corona Chorus is discontinued. Players looking for a current Corona-family chorus may want to look at the TC Electronics Corona Mini Chorus instead.
Reputation
The pedal was, in the words of gearnews.com's Jef, always popular:
"They were always popular and have been used by many famous players over the years"
