The Bullitt Overdrive Od-oNe is an overdrive pedal from VL Effects, introduced as the latest addition to that maker's line of pedals. Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio described it as "a modern, very natural sounding overdrive with some interesting features" when it was shown at the Brooklyn Stompbox Exhibit in October 20131.
The two models
The Od-oNe comes in two models: the Od-oNe Regular and the Od-oNe Vintage1. The distinction between the two, in terms of gain structure or voicing, was not detailed in the coverage of its debut, so a player choosing between them would need to hear both or consult the maker directly.
What it does to your sound
As an overdrive, the Bullitt Od-oNe sits in the same family of pedals covered on the overdrive pedals page: light to moderate grit that pushes an amp rather than replacing it. The maker's own description of the pedal's character, from the coverage of its debut, was that it sounds modern and very natural1.
