Ali Neander is a German guitarist whose credits include the Rodgau Monotones, Glashaus, Xavier Naidoo, Edo Zanki and studio work1. Among his gear, he names the Nobels ODR-S overdrive as a pedal he keeps on every pedalboard.

Nobels quotes Neander on the ODR-S, an overdrive he describes as a fixture on his boards:
"Nobels ODR-S, ein Muß auf allen meinen Pedalboards"
In his own words, he uses it as a low-gain crunch whose EQ lets him match it to a clean amp sound, it stays full and transparent at higher gain, and it stacks well in front of other overdrive pedals such as a Klon or Klon clone. He also notes it cleans up nicely when the guitar's volume is rolled down, and that he recorded 99 percent of his videos for Guitarpoint in Maintal with an ODR-S1.
His account points to the ODR-S as a pedal used both on its own and stacked with other drives1.
