On effects, two makers quote him directly. Zoom features him on the page for its G11 multi-effects unit, where he says:
"The G11 with its amplifier models and unique effects is a guitar player's dream for home recording."
He adds that the unit's stereo outputs interface perfectly with his home recording rig4. Nobels quotes him calling the ODR-1 overdrive:
"The world's best overdrive!"
Nobels names him among the players who use the ODR-12.
