Ji Yuan is a Chinese musician who has contributed to the recording of numerous music albums and has performed at close to a hundred live shows. He now works mainly in music arrangement and production, composing for film and television, and creating commercial jingles1.

Ji Yuan uses the Nobels ODR-1 and ODR-1 30th Anniversary overdrive pedals1. Of the pedal, he says:
"The sound of this vintage-style tube amp is very high-end, deep, rich in low frequencies, versatile, and yet very controlled."
He adds that it is a single pedal that costs just a few hundred bucks, making it a worthwhile addition to a collection1.
