Peter Stroud is a guitarist whose credits include Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, Pete Droge and Sarah McLachlan1. He has described his own pedal choices, from a boost pedal he calls a mainstay to an overdrive he came to late.
Pedalboard and endorsements
Stroud's longest-standing pedalboard association is the Grindstone Reveal Boost. When Grindstone Audio Solutions introduced the Reveal in March 2017, Stroud was quoted in the announcement:
"In the cluttered pedal world, Grindstone's are top grade standouts. The Reveal is a mainstay on my pedalboard."
He also praised the feel of the pedals themselves, saying that "Once in a while, new pedals come along that just sound and feel 'right' when you turn them on."2
Nobels quotes him on the ODR-1 overdrive, an overdrive pedal he says he arrived at late:
"I'm late to the Nobels ODR-1 party, but better late than never. Love this thing."
NAMM 2012 demo with JHS
At NAMM 2012, Stroud joined JHS Pedals owner Josh Scott for a demo of JHS products in the 65 Amps booth3. For the demo he played an Elliott Guitars "Tonemaster" through a 65 Amps "Ventura" head3.
