The Lexicon M1300S is a rack-era unit from Lexicon Pro, the company best known for its reverb and effects hardware. Lexicon describes it as a Digital Audio Delay Synchronizer, and it was sold as part of the maker's Effects Processors range rather than as a stompbox1. A delay synchronizer is a different kind of tool from a delay pedal: its job is handling delayed audio and synchronization in a studio or rack setup, not sitting on a pedalboard.
Discontinued status
Lexicon Pro's own product page for the M1300S carries a plain "Discontinued" label1. For a player, that means the unit is not available new from the maker, and anyone curious about one is looking at the used market. It also means Lexicon is not publishing new documentation or firmware for it, so support depends on what the maker has left available for the model.
The M1300S is discontinued, so it will not appear in a dealer's current lineup. Used units are the only route to one.
Where it sat in Lexicon's range
Lexicon's effects line covers a wide span, from the M-series and PCM-series processors to dedicated pedals. If you are comparing rack units from the same maker, the related pages for the Lexicon M93, Lexicon M92, Lexicon M95 and Lexicon PCM41 cover models that players often weigh against each other.
Questions
Is the Lexicon M1300S still in production?
No. Lexicon Pro lists the M1300S as discontinued on its product page. That means the maker no longer builds or sells it new, so a player interested in one would be looking at secondhand units rather than a current product.
What kind of unit is the Lexicon M1300S?
Lexicon Pro describes the M1300S as a Digital Audio Delay Synchronizer. It sat in the maker's Effects Processors range, alongside the reverb and effects hardware Lexicon is known for, rather than among its guitar pedals.
