daisy chain
A daisy chain is a group of power supply plugs linked together so several pedals can be powered from one single power supply1. It works as long as the total current draw in milliamps does not exceed the supply's limit, no matter how many pedals are connected1. Daisy chaining analog pedals such as compressors, overdrives, and distortions generally works, while digital pedals such as reverbs, delays, and modelers generally want their own isolated output2. Ground loops in a daisy chain can allow stray magnetic fields to introduce hum into the signal path, and modulation and delay pedals make such problems likely3. Pedals with positive ground circuits may need a voltage inverter to work in a daisy chain with negative ground pedals4.
