Eurorack

In the guitar effects world, the term appears in two main ways: some pedals are described as putting Eurorack-style modular synth sound creation tools into a compact pedal format, such as the Source Audio C4 Synth¹²³ and the Poly Effects Beebo⁴. Conversely, some pedal makers also build Eurorack modules, such as Strymon⁵⁶ and Noise Engineering, whose Batverb pedal was inspired by its Desmodus Versio Eurorack module⁷. Some effects units are Eurorack compatible, meaning they can interface with Eurorack systems, such as the Dreadbox Komorebi⁸ and Kinematic⁹, and some offer gain controls that adjust from mic to Eurorack levels¹⁰.
