Glossary
MIDI clock
MIDI clock is a timing signal sent over MIDI that lets devices sync to a common BPM1. Pedals that sync to it lock onto the incoming signal and adjust their tempo, keeping time-based effects tight across different devices23. It is global, affecting all pedals in the MIDI chain regardless of what MIDI channel each one is set to3. It lets effects be set to precise, pre-set BPMs instead of tapping a tempo in by foot and by feel1.
