Ground Control Audio Drops the Noodles Tone Shaper Leave a comment

Ground Control Audio has debuted the Noodles Tone Shaper, a multi-function stompbox that crams multiple preamp and EQ functions into a sleek, monochrome chassis.

The Noodles Tone Shaper allows for switching in three frequency-limited boosts. It consists of a trio of channels, each featuring a corresponding EQ band: Bass, Mids, and Treb. Each channel comes with an independent gain dial and footswitch. When engaged, the output of every channel blends with the ever-present dry signal.

Moreover, Ground Control Audio has assigned every channel three of its own “frequencies of interest” to be sculpted around. These are selectable via a minute push button under the gain dial of each channel. Also, discrete LED indicators for every channel show which one is currently active.

Per Ground Control Audio, “The Noodles features the same pre-amp technology that made the success of our Amaterasu bright pre-amp and Tsukuyomi midrange booster as well as a digitally-controlled solid state analog signal routing system built around the ARM Cortex-M microcontroller platform.”

Slated for a January 2021 release, the Noodles Tone Shaper retails for $249. It is now available for pre-order at a discounted price of $229. Head over to Ground Control Audio for more details.
