The Transdrive is an overdrive and distortion pedal from 604 Pedals, a builder whose pedal was featured in a video review on Pedal of the Day on 12 December 2014. It sits in the overdrive and distortion territory that covers everything from a light push to fuller clipping, and it was presented to readers as a video demo rather than a written review1.
What it does
As an overdrive and distortion pedal, the Transdrive belongs to the family of gain pedals covered on the site's Distortion Pedals and Overdrive Pedals pages: it clips the guitar signal to add sustain and grit, with the exact character depending on its controls and the circuit inside. The Pedal of the Day feature introduced it as "The Transdrive from 604 Pedals" and ran it as a video review, so the demo footage is the main published record of the pedal in action1.
The review was submitted by Kyle and posted by Pedal of the Day on Friday, December 12, 2014, in the site's 604 Pedals and Overdrive / Distortion categories1.
