The AC Noises Combatti is an overdrive and distortion pedal from the Italian maker AC Noises. The name means "fight" in Italian, and the pedal is aimed squarely at driven sounds: Pedal of the Day's reviewer described it as one that "isn't much on clean tones, and has no desire to be."1
What it does
The Combatti covers ground from warm overdrive to fuller distortion. Rolled back, the reviewer found "a tasty, warm overdrive tone," while with the gain up it produces what he called "an extremely expressive distortion sound."1
Its main feature is a three-way clipping toggle, which the reviewer described as "an additional trick up its sleeve." The middle position is the standard mode, "with an open and dynamic voice," and the other two positions select different clipping arrangements for harder or softer dirt.1
Controls
| Control | What it does |

| Clipping toggle (three-way) | Selects between clipping voices; the middle position is the standard, open and dynamic mode1 |
Design
The pedal comes in a salmon-colored enclosure, which makes it easy to spot on a board.1
What reviewers said
Pedal of the Day reviewed the Combatti in July 2017 and came away favorable, praising the range between its overdrive and distortion voices and singling out the clipping toggle as the pedal's distinguishing feature.1
