AC noises

From Italy, with VOLA, COMBATTI and ESPLORA

AC noises began in 2016 as "a daring venture by Andrea Ragusa and Claudia Bellotti"¹. Their first three pedals set the pattern of Italian-named units covering a wide tonal range:

• VOLA, a preamp/overdrive pedal
• COMBATTI, a distortion
• ESPLORA, a fuzz¹

The current catalog reaches well beyond gain pedals. The RICORDA is a stereo granular reverb with freeze and loop functions, born from a collaboration between AC noises and Andrea Degli Esposti from BunkerNoise³. The same collaboration produced CONTINUA, a stereo dynamic sampler and multi-effect⁴. URLA is a CMOS fuzz with a dual resonant filter, combining two distinct effects in one unit⁵. The AMA V.2 is a reverb with an oscillator and bit crusher, and the maker calls it "the top seller of the AC noises catalogue"⁶. Its first version was released in early 2018⁷.

Founded by Andrea Ragusa and Claudia Bellotti

The two founders run the company as a small business. AC noises states plainly that it does not pay artists or musicians to use its products, and instead runs an official Artist endorsement and sponsorship program offering what it describes as meek discounts on pedals, with applications taken through its Contact Form². The company's artist page lists "some of the artists who have officially embraced AC Noises pedals in their studio and/or live projects"⁸.

For technical questions, the company is happy to answer general pedal questions via its Contact Form, but says it cannot spend hours consulting on pedals, mods, rig rundowns and tone choices².

Warranty, manuals and current draw

AC noises warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase, repairing or replacing at no cost to the original purchaser. After the warranty expires, the company will repair for a reasonable cost depending on the damage².

Firmware updates and downloadable manuals for each pedal are linked from the company's support page, and milliamp (mA) current draws are found at the bottom of the manual's page for each respective pedal². Current draws the maker publishes on its product pages include:

Shipping, duties and returns

AC noises ships from two warehouses, one in Italy and one in the U.S., and ships internationally with some exceptions for countries with consistent patterns of lost shipments or fraud, where it suggests buying through authorized dealers instead².

Orders may ship in as little as 1 to 3 days, but can take 1 to 2 weeks if an item is not readily available, and longer during peak seasons such as Christmas or Black Friday².

Returns follow a 14-day policy: you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return, and the item must be unworn or unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Refunds go to the original payment method within 15 business days of approval. Returns are always free, though duties and fees for shipments outside the EU are not covered, and refunds on refused duties or taxes are issued minus shipping charges and related fees².

Availability and B-stock

As of late October 2026, the maker's product pages list the RICORDA, CONTINUA, URLA and AMA V.2 as sold out³⁴⁵⁷. The company also sells B-stock units, described as having minor cosmetic imperfections but otherwise brand new, fully tested and 100% functional, including B-stock listings for the AMA V.2 and the limited retro series RICORDA⁶⁹. The B-stock RICORDA listing is itself sold out¹⁰.

Support is available at info@acnoises.com and through the Contact Form on the company's site².
