The Anasounds Ego Driver enclosure kit is a spare-parts kit for DIY pedal builders: a pre-drilled enclosure for the Ego Driver overdrive, ready to house a home-built circuit. Anasounds sells it under its FX Teacher line of kits and spare parts, alongside its assembled overdrive pedals1.
What is in the kit
The enclosure arrives finished and drilled, so the metalwork that usually stops a first build is already done. The kit contains1:
- 1 Ego Driver enclosure with the Anasounds design and all the holes already drilled
- 3 transparent knobs
- 1 power supply jack, screwed and glued to the box
It is an enclosure kit only. The circuit board, components and wiring that make the overdrive work are not included, so it suits a builder who already has or plans to make an Ego Driver PCB1.
Compatibility and shipping
Anasounds states this is the new enclosure, compatible only with the new Ego Driver PCB. An older version of the board will not fit the drilled layout1.
Two practical limits matter for a US player. First, Anasounds says it does not ship this product to the United States1. Second, the price is listed in euros at 59,00 € EUR as of 13 October 2023, and no US dollar price is given1.
