The Big Joe B-402 Classic Tube is a tube overdrive pedal from the Big Joe Stomp Box Company. Its one documented feature of note is a built-in cabinet simulation, which lets the pedal emulate the response of a guitar speaker cabinet1.
What it does
The pedal carries a small two position cabinet simulation toggle switch. As Michael Casswell described it in Guitar Interactive Magazine's review, the switch "engages some speaker simulation circuitry"1. In practice, that means the player can run the B-402 Classic Tube directly into a recording interface, mixer or PA and still get a sound closer to a mic'd speaker cabinet, rather than the raw, fizzy output you get from a distortion or overdrive pedal on its own. You can read more about this kind of circuit on the speaker simulation page.
The B-402 Classic Tube is listed as sold out at Brusheight as of October 20262, so it may be difficult to find new.

Questions
What does the cabinet simulation switch on the Big Joe B-402 Classic do?
The B-402 Classic Tube has a small two position toggle switch that engages speaker simulation circuitry. With it on, the pedal shapes the output to sound more like a guitar speaker cabinet, which is useful when running it straight into a recording interface or PA rather than a guitar amp.
