The Overdrive² is an overdrive pedal from Bigot Pedals, a builder whose work was featured by Pedal of the Day in a video review posted on January 28, 20151. The review was presented by Kyle, who introduced it as "The Overdrive² from Bigot Pedals"1.
What it does
As an overdrive, the Overdrive² belongs to the pedal family that pushes an amp's front end or adds grit to a clean signal, sitting between a clean boost and a fuller distortion circuit. For players comparing it with the better-known overdrive designs, the Boss SD-1 vs Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer comparison covers the two circuits most overdrives are measured against.
Pedal of the Day covered the pedal in video form rather than in writing. Kyle noted in the review's introduction that "We've got another VIDEO review for you today"1, so the demonstration of the pedal's sound and controls is in the video itself.
