Buffalo FX '66 Fuzz

The '66 Fuzz is a fuzz pedal from Buffalo FX, a French manufacturer of custom pedals. It keeps its control layout to the minimum: two knobs, in the tradition of the simplest vintage fuzz designs, where the player sets the pedal and then works the guitar's volume control from there.¹

Controls and layout

The pedal's design philosophy is simplicity itself:

• Two knobs only, in the tradition of the simplest vintage fuzz designs¹
• The player sets the pedal and then works the guitar's volume control from there¹

Buffalo FX and its fuzz catalog

Buffalo FX has built its name on fuzzes, so the '66 Fuzz sits in a catalog that players of fuzz pedals know well.¹ The maker's other fuzzes include:

• Buffalo FX Germanium Fuzz¹
• Buffalo FX Tonebender Mkii¹
• Buffalo FX Ram's Head¹
• Buffalo FX Patriot MkII¹

What reviewers said

Paolo De Gregorio, writing for Delicious Audio, described it as "a great sounding, two-knob custom fuzz".¹

For a player's ear rather than a written verdict, Delicious Audio pointed readers to a demo by the channel Shnobel: "You can find out in this video by Shnobel."¹
