The Caline DCP-10 Steller EQ Compressor is a dual pedal that combines two effects in one enclosure: a 5-band EQ on the left and a simple compressor on the right. Pedal of the Day describes it as combining "2 front end effects to start your tone out on a high note," and it is the eighth effect in Caline's DCP Dual Pedal Series1. Delicious Audio's buying guide lists it as part of Caline's dual pedal series2.

What each side does

The left EQ side features 5 frequency band sliders and one Level adjust slider. The frequencies available are 62.5Hz, 125Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz and 4kHz1.

The right side is a simple compressor with knobs for tone, compression and volume2. Pedal of the Day identifies the compressor side as Caline's own CP-47 Pressure Tank Compressor1.

What reviewers found

Pedal of the Day praised the compressor side but flagged a drawback on the EQ side1:

"There's a significant volume drop when using certain sliders on the EQ, however, even when maxing out the Level slider1."

The most consistent criticism in published reviews concerns volume. The reviewer found "There's a significant volume drop when using certain sliders on the EQ, however, even when maxing out the Level slider," and called it a real bummer: pushing some EQ sliders cuts overall level even with the Level control at maximum, so players may need to compensate elsewhere on the board1.

That is worth knowing before putting the pedal on a board: cutting certain frequencies can pull the overall level down in a way the Level slider cannot fully make up1.

Where it sits in the DCP series

The DCP-10 is one of several dual pedals in the series. Pedal of the Day has also reviewed the DCP-01 Artemis Compressor Boost, which pairs the CP-47 Pressure Tank Compressor with the CP-97 Recluse Boost, and the DCP-05 Key West Compressor Overdrive, which pairs a compressor with an overdrive1.
