All 90 Caline pedals

The range is organized in numbered series, including the CP series, the G series and the DCP series, and the maker sells through general effects retailers rather than a single dedicated dealer network563.

Caline pedals are distributed through general effects retailers rather than a dedicated dealer network, so availability and pricing for a given model can vary from store to store.

What Caline makes

A few highlights from across the range:

  • The CP-84 Honeycomb Tone is an overdrive with beehive graphics8.
  • The CP-54 Big Orange carries four main knobs: Gain, Treble, Vol and Bass9.
  • The CP-515 Carmilla is a hi-gain distortion that RockBoard's PedalPedia says delivers a wide range of gain10.
  • The CP-57 Summer Night combines distortion with an equalizer in one pedal11.
  • The CP-72 Bass Wah/Vol is a two-in-one wah and volume pedal for bass12.

Reverbs: the Mariana, Wonderland and spring pedals

Reverb is where Caline has drawn the most press attention. The Mariana packs seven modulated reverb presets into one compact pedal, which the maker describes as offering strong value for money. It is controlled with three knobs, labeled A, B and C, and each preset interacts with those controls differently13.

"The Mariana crams 7 'out of this world' modulated reverbs into one compact pedal offering amazing value for money"
RockBoard PedalPedia13

The CP-508 Wonderland is an ambient modulated reverb pedal that RockBoard's PedalPedia says will transport the player to "a magical world of deep, spacious ambient modulated reverb"14. At the springier end, the CP-44 Reflector Spring Reverb and the CP-98 Seahawk Reverb are both described by RockBoard's PedalPedia as similar to the spring reverb effect of analog amplifiers, with a natural, clear timbre153.

Drives and distortion

Caline's drive side runs from light overdrive to heavy distortion. The CP-21 Rock Face and CP-27 White British cover classic distortion territory1617, the CP-515 Carmilla handles hi-gain duties10, and the DCP-03 Devilfisch rounds out the distortion line161710. On the overdrive side, the Enchanted Tone Highly Prized Overdrive and the CP-84 Honeycomb Tone sit alongside the CP-54 Big Orange1889.

DI boxes and utility pedals

Alongside effects, Caline makes DI boxes in pedal form:

  • CP-23 Active DI Box19
  • CP-64 DI Box, sold as the Direct Route2

For bass players, the CP-72 combines a wah and volume control in one unit12.
