The CKK Electronic Robot is an analog phaser pedal for electric guitar, built by CKK Electronic as a stompbox. Delicious Audio, introducing the pedal in March 2018, called it "their take on the OTA based phaser design", the operational-transamplifier circuit approach behind many classic phasers1. RockBoard's PedalPedia lists it as a phaser with an analog circuit type, and describes it as "a great way to achieve the classic sweeping phase for your electric guitar"2.
What it does to your sound
A phaser splits the guitar's signal, shifts the phase of part of it, and blends the two, producing the sweeping, jet-like peaks and notches players know from classic phaser pedals. The Robot's OTA design is the analog route to that sound. Delicious Audio wrote that the pedal "can deliver tones ranging from classic sounding to experimental swirls"1, and RockBoard's listing says "The Robot is ideal for guitarists wanting dreamy tones from both classic and modern music"2.
Controls
The Robot keeps things to four knobs. RockBoard's PedalPedia explains: "Each knob allows you to alter the depth, resonance, speed and sweep of your phase"2.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Depth | Alters the depth of the phase2 |
| Resonance | Alters the resonance of the phase2 |
| Speed | Alters the speed of the phase2 |
| Sweep | Alters the sweep of the phase2 |
That is a streamlined set for a phaser: depth sets how far the effect reaches into the signal, speed sets the rate of the sweep, and resonance and sweep shape the character and range of the sweep itself. Delicious Audio noted that CKK Electronic "specializes on stompboxes with a more classic look and streamlined features"1, and the Robot's control layout fits that description.
Power
The Robot runs on 9V DC, center negative, the standard for pedalboard supplies, and draws 10mA2. That light draw means it can share a daisy-chained or multi-output supply with other low-draw pedals without strain.
The Robot's 10mA draw is far below what a digital phaser needs. The DigiTech Dirty Robot, a digital phaser circuit, is listed at 125mA on the same PedalPedia reference32. An analog design like the Robot's is the reason for the difference.
Robot Phaser, or just Robot?
The pedal appears under both names. Delicious Audio's 2018 post calls it the CKK Electronic Robot Phaser1, while RockBoard's PedalPedia lists it as the Robot2. They are the same pedal: an analog, OTA based phaser from CKK Electronic.

Questions
Is the CKK Electronic Robot analog or digital?
The Robot is an analog pedal. RockBoard's PedalPedia lists its circuit type as analog, and Delicious Audio described it as CKK Electronic's take on the OTA based phaser design, a classic analog approach to phasing. That places it apart from digital phasers such as the DigiTech Dirty Robot, which PedalPedia lists as a digital circuit.
What power does the CKK Electronic Robot need?
The Robot runs on 9V DC with a center negative plug, the standard supply used by most pedalboard power supplies and one-shot adapters. Its current draw is listed at 10mA, which is light enough that it sits comfortably alongside other pedals on a shared supply.
How much current does the CKK Electronic Robot draw?
RockBoard's PedalPedia lists the Robot's current draw at 10mA. That is a small figure compared with digital pedals; the DigiTech Dirty Robot, a digital phaser, is listed at 125mA on the same reference.
What does the Resonance knob do on the Robot?
On the Robot, the Resonance knob alters the resonance of the phase, shaping how pronounced the phaser's notch peaks and dips are as the effect sweeps. It sits alongside Depth, Speed and Sweep knobs, which respectively alter the depth, speed and sweep of the phase.
Is the CKK Electronic Robot the same as the Robot Phaser?
Yes. Delicious Audio's 2018 introduction of the pedal refers to it as the CKK Electronic Robot Phaser, while RockBoard's PedalPedia lists it simply as the Robot. Both describe the same analog phaser from CKK Electronic.
