The Camper Fuzz is a fuzz pedal from CroyTone Audio, a builder of small-run effects. It was designed for Greg and Erin from the band Teach Me Equals, and it is built around a pair of vintage NOS (new old stock) transistors that are individually matched for each pedal. Pedal of the Day, reviewing it at the end of 2018, described it as having "enough settings and options to make it almost four different fuzzes in one."1
What it does
The Camper Fuzz is a fuzz in the heavier end of the family: Pedal of the Day called it "an apocalyptic, fuzz-laden distortion machine that takes no prisoners, and destroys everything that is unfortunate enough to get in its path."1 For a player, that places it closer to the aggressive side of fuzz than to the gentler overdrive or distortion territory.

Circuit and power
The matched vintage NOS transistor pair is the heart of the pedal, and matching each set of transistors to its own unit is a build approach more common in boutique fuzzes than in mass-produced ones. The transistors run on an internally inverted voltage, which lets the pedal be powered by a standard 9V supply like most pedals on a board.1
Controls
The review names the Fuzz control, which "sets your dirt amount," and notes that the pedal carries enough settings and options to make it, in the reviewer's words, almost four different fuzzes in one.1
