The DOD FX64 Ice Box Chorus is an analog stereo chorus pedal. DOD's own product page calls it "an incredible sounding stereo chorus," and it sits in the chorus family alongside DOD's other stereo units such as the FX65 Stereo Chorus.1

What it does

The FX64 splits your signal into a chorus effect with stereo outputs, and DOD describes its character as suited to "icy, crisp flourishes," a description echoed by Barry Rudolph's "New Toys" directory in Music Connection.12

Controls

The pedal carries the standard chorus set of level, speed and depth controls, and adds a high EQ knob. RockBoard's PedalPedia describes this as "boosting your high-end edge" while the chorus modulation sweetens the tone, which gives the Ice Box more tonal shaping than a chorus with only the usual three knobs.1

ControlWhat it does
LevelSets the overall output level
SpeedSets the rate of the chorus modulation
DepthSets the intensity of the chorus modulation
High EQBoosts high-end while the chorus sweetens the tone1

Power

The FX64 runs on 9V DC, center negative, and draws 22mA.1

At 22mA the pedal is beyond what many daisy-chain supplies comfortably share, so a dedicated supply output is worth considering.1
