Umbria and Celestia: two pedals, one collaboration
The two versions sit in different effect families. The Umbria is a distortion, the kind of pedal that pushes an amp or shapes a driven tone on its own, and it sits alongside Donner's other drive pedals such as the Donner Alpha Cruncher and Donner Alpha Force. The Celestia is a chorus, placing it in the company of Donner's earlier modulation pedals like the Donner Tutti Love and Donner Mod Square. For a player, the practical difference is simple: the Umbria goes in the drive section of a board, the Celestia in the modulation section, and both carry the same collaboration branding and price2.
| Version | Effect type | Where it fits on a board |
|---|---|---|
| UMBRIA | Distortion | Drive section, before modulation and time effects2 |
| CELESTIA | Chorus | Modulation section, after drive2 |
