The Dr. No Kafuzz!!! is a handmade fuzz pedal, and the maker calls it one of its most sold and famous guitar effects1. It sits in Dr. No's guitar effects collection alongside other fuzz designs like the SkullFuzz, the Turd Fuzz and the Ford Falcon Fuzz Black1.
The sound and the controls
The Kafuzz!!! carries two controls: a gain/fuzz pot and a tone pot. Dr. No describes both as tunable with great precision, providing a wide range of possibilities1. As for what it sounds like, the maker's own description is vivid: "This one sounds like an old Russian Tupolev airplane flying over at low altitude," with what the page calls an amazing low deep sound1.
The pedal has been reviewed publicly. In March 2012, Dr. No posted news of a review and video of the then-new Kafuzz!!! by The Gearmanndude, a well-known gear demo channel2.
The Kafuzz!!! was made from 2007 until 2012. The pedal currently sold is a new series that Dr. No states is handmade again, so units from the original run and the current series exist side by side on the used and new markets1.
The Limited Edition
In January 2013, Dr. No built an extreme limited edition of the Kafuzz!!!, which the maker said was to celebrate the enormous success that reached beyond expectations. Only 10 pieces were made, available first come first served3.
