Foxpedal Kingdom Combo (with boost) V2

The Foxpedal Kingdom Combo (with boost) V2 is a compact overdrive from FoxPedal that combines a Klon-style overdrive circuit with an independent boost in a single enclosure. Guitar Pedal X described it as "essentially a Klone pedal with its own distinct character and independent boost footswitch," placing it among the many Klone-style pedals built around the circuit popularised by the Klon. As of 2021 it was still listed as part of Foxpedal's current range¹², and Guitar Pedal X's 2019 review listed it at $239 USD³.

Controls

The pedal splits into two sides, each with its own footswitch, so the overdrive and boost can be used separately or together²⁴.

The two toggle switches are the clipping options: "The two toggle switches are soft and hard clipping switches - with the soft labelled OD, and the hard labelled CLIP," Guitar Pedal X noted in its 2019 review of Klone-style pedals³. Soft and hard clipping shape the overdrive differently, so the toggles let a player choose between the two response types rather than being locked to one.

What reviewers said

Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson reviewed the pedal in its 2019 roundup of Klon and Klone-style pedals, and offered one observation on how it colors the signal³:

In a 2020 buying guide covering compact overdrives, the same publication counted the independent boost footswitch as part of what sets the Kingdom Combo V2 apart from other Klones².
