The Fuhrmann Myth of Tones is a double drive pedal from Fuhrmann, a maker of overdrive and distortion pedals. It puts two drive circuits in one enclosure, so a player can cover rhythm and lead gain from a single unit. RockBoard's PedalPedia describes it as "a double drive with transparent sound that does not interfere with the sound of the guitar or amplifier", meaning the pedal is voiced to add gain without coloring the basic tone of the instrument or amp it feeds.1

The name itself is a translation from Portuguese: as Fuhrmann's product information puts it, "The Myth of Tones pedal - in Portuguese would be the equivalent of 'Mito dos Timbres' - is a double drive with transparent sound".1

Circuit and bypass

The Myth of Tones is an analog pedal throughout. Fuhrmann describes it as using "100% analog and true bypass technology, typical of the brand", so when the pedal is off, the guitar signal passes through untouched. True bypass means no buffering stage sits in the chain when the effect is disengaged, which matters on large pedalboards where several pedals in a row can otherwise load down the signal.1

Power

The pedal runs from a 9V DC supply with center negative polarity, the standard for effects pedals, and draws 20mA. A standard isolated pedalboard supply handles it easily.1

Where it sits on a board

As a double drive, the Myth of Tones covers ground that players otherwise split across two overdrive or distortion pedals. Fuhrmann's transparent voicing claim places it among drive pedals intended to keep the guitar and amplifier character intact rather than impose their own.1
